The Tyrol - Seefeld

 Seefeld is located 40 minutes by train from Innsbruck and offers a great variety of excursions by coach, or independently, using the excellent local public transport.

 For walking enthusiasts there are miles of well marked footpaths in the summer and from June onwards, cable cars and chair lifts take you up into the mountains.

 In the winter, seefeld becomes a popular cross-country skiing destination. The Nordic events at both the 1964 and the 1976 Winter Olympics were hosted at Seefeld, as were the 1985 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and numerous other World Cup competitions.

The alpine skiing area is small and ideal for beginners

 Other nearby sporting facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis, riding, fishing, cycling and golf.
