Hotel Classification

The star ratings which appear in this brochure are the official ratings awarded to each hotel by the hotel classification board in each country. Star ratings are generally based on facilities and cannot take into account the style or character of a particular hotel, nor are they indicative of room sizes. We hope our hotel descriptions will help you choose between hotels within a particular category, but if you need further information or wish to discuss your individual requirements please ring and we will do our best to advise you.

You will see references to establishments known as Pensionen – these are essentially smaller bed and breakfast hotels or guest houses where there is no restaurant and generally no additional facilities available to guests. A city centre Pension may be located in an apartment block and the reception may not be located at ground floor level. However, many Pensionen are family-run, have a large number of repeat visitors and represent good value for money.
