Music dominates the cultural scene in Salzburg and a concert at the castle or the Mirabell Palace is an enjoyable way to experience the city's rich musical heritage. Make time to visit the nearby lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut on one of the regular excursions outside the city, or take a boat ride to the magnificent gardens and water features at Hellbrunn Castle.
