Grown from the roots of the Anglo-Austrian society in London (which was formed to help relatives and schools to travel between the UK and Austria) it was sold to Mr Paul Chandler of the Travel Club Of Upminster in June 1999 and moved to the suburbs of Essex, since then Austria Travel has undergone many changes but the core of the company has stayed the same, to provide people with our specialist service and knowledge of Austria and its surrounding countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

Now many competitors have disappeared, Austria Travel is the UK’s only specialist Austrian tour operator. We launched our 2005 summer brochure in January, continuing to offer an exciting and popular programme of city breaks, lakes and mountains holidays, cycling, walking and Danube cruise holidays.

Classic city breaks to Vienna, Salzburg, Graz and Innsbruck are accompanied by a selection of some of Prague and Budapest’s and Bratislava’s finest hotels and a popular range of two and three centre breaks - combining the delights of multiple culture experiences.
